NEW HOURS OF OPERATION!

The Dog Park will be closed EVERY MONDAY for maintenance.

Due to the recent changes in the city budget, the Dog Park will be open from
5 am to 11 pm.
This is a change from the previous closing time of 12 am.

WILDLIFE AT WHITE ROCK LAKE

The wildlife at White Rock Lake is abundant - pigs, peacocks, red foxes, deer, nutria, armadillos, possums and COYOTES .....

Rather large coyotes have been seen at Flag Pole Hill and over at the Celebration Tree Grove which is along the trail on the east side of the Lake. The coyote was "chewing on the name plates and watering hoses" stated the photographer.

On the Lake Ridge Estates neighborhood Face book page, there is a notice about a family pet found dead on its lawn, the apparent victim of a coyote attack.

Coyotes have also been spotted almost NIGHTLY on Flag Pole Hill. They howl in the park at night and travel along the bike trail up north of the Lake as well as move onto the horse stable located in the park.

Coyotes will rarely attack people but they definitely will go after a little animal especially if the animal is not attended by a human.
